This article shows buyer-side agents and teams how to revise an offer after it has been submitted to a listing agent on Glide. Glide's Revision tool lets the buyer side modify terms in an offer, package or update information in the offer summary.

Before you start

We begin with the assumption that the buyer side has already submitted an offer on Glide to a listing agent. If you are not sure how to submit an offer, see:

Opening an offer

1. Go to the Glide Home page, select a purchase transaction, and then click Offer Package on the left menu.

2. Click the Revise button.

Options

On the Revise Offer page, choose how to revise the offer.

  • Make a change to the package. Edit one or more documents in the current offer package. You can also add forms to the package and change information in the summary.

  • Only edit the Summary. The buyer-side team edits the summary and does not change the offer package documents.

Changing the offer package

If you select this option, the Revise Offer Package page displays.

1. To edit an existing document, click Edit offer terms on the top right corner.

  • To add forms to a package, click the Add Documents button and follow the workflow.

2. Read the terms on the pop window and click Confirm to continue.

  • Check the box if you want to keep the original form as a separate file.

After you click Confirm, the document opens. The information from the original offer is visible. You can edit the original information or add information to different fields.

  • In this example, we correct a typo by clicking a field and changing the figure from $75,000 to $75,400.

3. To save changes, click the Save and Close button in the top left corner of the page.

  • Glide returns to the Revise Offer Package page.

4. To see the original document, click the Show deleted box.

5. Glide displays the previous file versions. Click the file to review the contents. (optional)

6. After you complete the changes, click Get Signatures to open the e-signature workflow.

  • If the buyer side changes the offer document (edits or new information), the form needs new signatures from all signing parties.

Returning to the revised package

After the request for e-signatures goes out, you can close Glide and return to the same page at a later date.

To return to the same page, click Offer Package on the left menu and then click Continue Preparing Submit. Glide returns to the Revise Offer Package page.

Sending the package

1. When you have a signed form, click the Next button at the bottom of the Revise Offer Package page to resubmit the offer package.

  • Glide opens the summary workflow.

  • Glide auto-populates the fields. This is the information the buyer side team entered into the previous offer package.

2. Scroll through the guided workflow and review the information. Make changes as required.

  • Glide automatically copies changes in the revised offer package to the summary.

Glide sends the offer package to the listing agent and returns to the Offer Package page. Glide highlights any offer changes.

3. Check the email details and send the revised offer.

What the listing side sees

The listing agent or team receives an email notification.

They click the link to see the revised offer. Glide highlights offer package changes for the listing team.

Editing the summary

The second option is to edit the Glide summary. Choose this option to edit the summary but leave the offer package documents unchanged.

Buyer-side teams might choose this option if the details in the summary are not an exact match with the details in the offer package.

  • With this option, there is no need to send documents for e-signature. The offer package is not changed.

2. Scroll through the guided workflow and review the information. To make changes, click the edit summary button.

3. Click OK in the confirmation popup window.

  • This says changes to the summary are not saved into the offer package.

4. Click a field to change or add information. Click off the field to save changes.

5. Click Continue to move through the workflow.

6. Check the email details and send the revised offer.

Glide sends the offer package to the listing agent and returns to the Offer Package page. Glide highlights any changes.
